why can’t we study such things in public law. the constitutionality of marriage vs marriage as a social/political construct is so damn interesting. maybe cos it overlaps with the 377A debate (which may be taboo considering our course convener) but it’s such a waste considering how intriguing this whole issue is.

the argument against legalising this is actually pretty solid: redefinition of the entire concept of marriage and family. versus of course the champions for equality and rights etc. law vs politics, personal rights vs society interests.
